Sam Claflin on Matthew Macfadyen

The March issue of InStyle magazine has an article and lovely picture of Sam Claflin for a recent photoshoot.  In the article, Sam has the following to say about Matthew Macfadyen:

Who would you give a Bafta to?
"Matthew Macfadyen. I've worked with him twice. He's an inspiration and a big hero of mine."

Sam worked with Matthew in The Pillars of the Earth and Any Human Heart

You can catch Sam and Matthew in Any Human Heart  on PBS (in the US) starting Sunday, Feb 11 at 9:00 pm ET/8:00 CT.

Matthew will NOT by doing the NY run of Private Lives

Matthew Macfadyen's agency confirmed to me that he will not be doing the NY run of Private Lives.Edit: Matthew will not be in the Toronto run, either.

The Star confirms Matthew Macfadyen will head to Toronto for Private Lives

Richard Ouzounian of The Star has confirmed that Matthew Macfadyen will at least be in Toronto for the run of Private Lives, possibly in Broadway, too, depending on how you interpret his words.

First off, Kim Cattrall will be returning to a Canadian stage for the first time in many years when she recreates her acclaimed West End turn as Amanda in Private Lives here in Toronto before heading off with it to Broadway. Look for that in the early fall, with her London co-star Matthew Macfadyen also here for the duration.

Review of The Coma

It's always interesting to see a review of a project of Matthew's from years ago.  This review of The Coma was just posted and has the following lovely paragraph:

So it might have something to do with Macfadyen’s voice the reason the audiobook of “The Coma” is the best book of the year so far, but to be fair, it probably just helped Garland’s interesting (and creepy) story. Why doesn’t he do more audiobooks? He’s clearly good at it....

Unfortunately, the audiobook of The Coma is now difficult to obtain.

Edit: It appears to be availble on audible
