In a special theatrical evening to mark the handover of the English PEN Presidency from Lisa Appignanesi to Gillian Slovo, the two authors choose writings that have inspired and moved them over the years. Leading actors join them to read their favourites. From Pooh to Portnoy, from Carol Ann Duffy to Salman Rushdie, their inspirations include some of the treasures of world literature - and some of its best kept secrets. Join us for this star-studded fundraising event, directed by leading playwright Timberlake Wertenbaker.
