Matthew Macfadyen, who recently starred in the BBC/PBS adaptation of Charles Dickens' Little Dorrit, will be part of tonights reception, hosted by The Queen, at Buckingham Palace to celebrate the 200 year birth of Charles Dickens. Guests (as tweeted by the monarchy) willl include members of the Dickens family, Ralph Fiennes, Gillian Anderson, Eddie Redmayne, Ruth Jones and Matthew Macfadyen.

The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh today celebrated the 200th anniversary of the year Charles Dickens was born, joining actors at a performance which featured some of the author's most popular characters.Film star and Burberry model Eddie Redmayne and former 007 actress Samantha Bond joined children and professionals from the Chickenshed theatre company as they took to the stage.
