Focus features has decided to position Anna Karenina for Oscar contender by releasing the movie in the US a full two months after it opens in the U.K. Anna Karenina is scheduled to be released on September 7th in the UK while it will have a limited release on November 9th in the U.S. Matthew Macfadyen reteams with Keira Knightley and Joe Wright.
Matthew Macfadyen attended the 'Bel Ami' special screening and high tea event yesterday. 'Bel Ami' stars Robert Pattinson as a dissolute French soldier who rises to the top of society and journalism by sleeping with the wives of his employers.

Matthew Macfadyen and Keeley Hawes attended a tea party in aid of the children's hospice charity Shooting Star Chase at the Dorchester Hotel in London today (Feb 21, 2012). Keeley and Matthew have been very supportive of the children's hospice and were among several stars who attended the event.
