More Award Nominations for The Pillars of the Earth

The Pillars of the Earth has been nominated best mini series (The Golden Nymph) at the Monte Carlo Television Festival.  In addition Ian McShane for outstanding actor in a mini series for his role in The Pillars of the Earth. 

The festival is held between 6-10 June in Monte Carlo.

The Pillars of the Earth receives Austria's Jury Award At Romy

The Romy Awards ceremony were just held in Austria and The Pillars of the Earth won the Jury Award.  On hand to accept the prize were Donald Sutherland, Natalia Wörner, David Oakes, and director Sergio Mimica-Gezzan.

The Pillars of The Earth has been nominated for Best Television Presentation in the 37th Saturn Awards (The Academy of Science Fiction and Fantasy).

Sam Claflin on Matthew Macfadyen

The March issue of InStyle magazine has an article and lovely picture of Sam Claflin for a recent photoshoot.  In the article, Sam has the following to say about Matthew Macfadyen:

Who would you give a Bafta to?
"Matthew Macfadyen. I've worked with him twice. He's an inspiration and a big hero of mine."

Sam worked with Matthew in The Pillars of the Earth and Any Human Heart.
