Matthew Macfadyen to be in "Pillars of the Earth"

Thanks to Cathy/JaneV and The Hollywood Reporter, we have learned that Matthew Macfadyen will be playing Prior Phillip in Ken Follett's bestseller, 'The Pillars of the Earth'.  This will be a $40 million miniseries which begins filming on June 22 in Austria and Hungary.  Premiere is set for late 2010.

"The plot of the suspense thriller set in 12th century England involves war, religious strife and power struggles as well as two interwoven love stories."

Emmy Ballots

Thanks to forum member, Lizziej, who has found the official Emmy Ballots. 

Little Dorrit is on the ballot for Outstanding Miniseries. Matthew Macfadyen is on the ballot for Little Dorrit as Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or Movie. Claire Foy is on the ballot for Little Dorrit as Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries or Movie. Other actors and actresses from Little Dorrit include Andy Serkis, Tom Courtenay, and Judy Parfitt

Daily Mirror on Robin Hood

The Daily Mirror has an article yesterday, 3 June, about Matthew Macfadyen being the evil Sheriff of Nottingham and the difference in ages between Russell Crowe and Matthew.  The article comments that perhaps this time the Sheriff might come out on top....

Daily Mirror on Robin Hood

The Insider's Lara Spencer to do a story on Robin Hood

Lara Spencer of The Insider is currently in England doing interviews with the cast of Robin Hood.  She has already met with Cate Blanchett and Russell Crowe and gotten tours of the set.

Lara had this funny comment on her twitter page.

"Cate Blanchett's horse has a flatulence problem! He keeps farting during scenes and Russell is like, "ya SURE it's your horse, Cate""
