Matthew Macfadyen joins 'Criminal Justice'

Criminal Justice is returning to BBC for a new five-part series, the BBC has announced.

Matthew Macfadyen will be joined by Maxine Peake as the lead star.  Criminal Justice takes an uncompromising and insightful look at our criminal justice system, but this time through the journey of one woman.

Joe Miller (Matthew Macfadyen) is a barrister at the height of his professional powers. He is married to Juliet (Maxine Peake) who suffers from depression. They have one daughter, 13-year-old Ella

A Pocket Full of Rye on DVD on 4 August 2009

Acorn Media will be releasing a 4 disc dvd of Miss Marple, which includes A Pocket Full of Rye, in which Matthew Macfadyen plays Inspector Neele.

This 372-minute set containing 4 episodes of the British show is presented in widescreen video, English Stereo sound, with English subtitles available. DVD features include Julia McKenzie and Agatha Christie biographies, a photo gallery, and cast filmographies. Cost is $59.99 U.S./$74.99 CAN, and it will be available starting on August 4th.

Filming of Robin Hood going well

According to Baz Bamigboye:

For what was initially labelled a 'difficult production', work on Robin Hood has (so far) been relatively smooth and executives at Universal in Los Angeles have been delighted with the footage that has been speeding its way back to them on a daily basis.
Shooting continues until early August. (Thanks to Matthieu for the article) 

Enid Blyton's Great Adventure

According the Matthew's agent's website, Hamilton Hodell, the Enid Blyton drama is now named "Enid Blyton's Great Adventure".
