USA Today Critic's Corner pick

USA Today Critic's Corner has chosen A Pocket Full of Rye as one of the Holiday Weekend's choices to watch.

'Cranford's Julia McKenzie makes a promising debut as Miss Marple in A Pocket Full of Rye (PBS, Sunday, 9 ET/PT, times may vary), the first of four new Agatha Christie Marple stories on Masterpiece Mystery. The tone is a little too arch (despite how they're sometimes played on screen, Christie's Marple mysteries are not comedies). But the plot is relatively true to the book and so is McKenzie, who drops some of the excess twinkle Geraldine McEwan brought to the role."

PBS Miss Marple Website

PBS has now opened up the website featuring all four of the new Miss Marple shows.  You can click on any of the 4 shows to watch a preview.

A Pocket Full of Rye is also a webpage which can be viewed, along with a preview HERE.

Matthew now in Hungary filming The Pillars of the Earth

We can now confirm from Matthew Macfadyen's PA that he is currently in Hungary filming The Pillars of the Earth.  Matthew is not expected to return home until the end of the year.

Hopefully, Keeley and kids will be able to visit Hungary!

Keeley Hawes and Matthew Macfadyen visit Chase Hospice

Thanks to the forum member who found these lovely photos of Matthew Macfadyen and Keeley Hawes visiting and supporting Chase Hospice.  Both of them attended the grand opening of the sensory courtyard at Christopher's.

Many of you may remember that darcylicious.com and Keeley-Hawes.com supported and donated to Chase Hospice over the Christmas holidays in 2008.

You can read the stories and see the lovely pictures HERE and HERE.

Criminal Justice will be gripping

According to the Mirror, Maxine Peake is utterly brilliant in this Autumn's Criminal Justice.

"The Shameless star plays depressed, middle-class housewife Juliet who finds herself in hot water after her barrister husband (Matthew Macfadyen) turns up a bit dead.

Just like last year, the drama will be screened on five consecutive weeknights in the autumn.

My source reveals: "The story is utterly gripping. You want to believe that she didn't do it but the problem is... maybe she did.""

Thank you Matthieu for sharing the article!
