Bring Back the Mr. Darcy Bust to Chatsworth

Many of you may remember the bust of Mr Darcy from Pride and Prejudice.  Many of you may also be aware it had been on display at Chatsworth House in Derbyshire for many years, but now, visitors to Chatsworth, no longer can find the bust.  It has been removed and will no longer see the light of day, unless there is sufficient demand.

If you would like to see the bust return to Chatsworth House, please sign this petition.  If we get enough signatures, hopefully, it will return.

Matthew Bans the Queen

Wife, Keeley Hawes, has admitted to taking the framed Annigoni portrait of the Queen from a shelf behind Gene Hunt's desk at the end of filming of Ashes to Ashes.  She admits to having lots of Coronation-ware from the 1953 Coronation.

However, Keeley hung the Queen in the bedroom.

"And then I brought that picture home of the Queen, stuck it in the bedroom and Matthew said, 'Right, that's the final straw!' "I've been banned by my husband from having any more pictures of the Queen in the house."

Congratulations to the cast and crew of Private Lives

Today, Private Lives ended its London run.  Several members of the forum ended and here are a few of the comments:

sopheezmum: It was more enthusiastic and even more energetic than before, if that's possible. The cast got a standing ovation at the end, and there were several bursts of spontaneous applause during the play.

n9037: ...I thought it was even better this time. The chemistry between Kim and Matthew is amazing. And Simon is hilarious as Victor. I thought the audience were great too - loved the spontaneous clapping throughout!

cellisticone: Just got back from the closing performance - it was a fantastic show!

Congratulations to all!

Telegraph article on Robin Hood

The Telegraph has an article discussing the Robin Hood and how it is different from previous versions.  In the article, the following is mentioned:

"Matthew Macfadyen says he arrived on set with only four scenes as the Sheriff of Nottingham, but ended up with six and a wildly different outcome. The script was 'quite fluid’, he says. 'First I was going to be stabbed by Cate Blanchett, then I got new pages through and I was killed by Mark Strong [Sir Godfrey], then I was going to be murdered by a thug on horseback. So my deaths got worse and worse.’ In fact, Scott liked his performance so much that he kept him alive. 'The Sheriff is more of an idiot than an evil psycho,’ Macfadyen says."
