Busy with Any Human Heart and Private Lives

More members of Darcylicious have been very busy visiting London to see Matthew Macfadyen on stage for Private Lives.  Many have also been lucky to meet Matthew at the stage door and have autographs signed or photos taken.  It's unanimous that Matthew is looking extremely handsome, soft spoken and very nice to allow the autographs and photos.

Some people did note that Matthew looked very tired last week, however, and this was clarified by Doris-anglophil.

As she stated in the forum:

"he said he did some shooting [for Any Human Heart] the week before which was the reason he seemed to look exhausted and tired on the pics of the lunchtime award show last Friday. There had been three or four days he had to do both - the filming and the play. But that's about it - the rest is done after the play has finished, so he said."

Busy with Any Human Heart and Private Lives

Exclusive Behind the Scenes video from Robin Hood

However, Matthew Macfadyen isn't visible in this video. Don't forget that Robin Hood opens in May!

Private Lives to head to Broadway

That's what Baz Bamigboye of the Daily Mail has published!  He explains that both Matthew Macfadyen and Kim Cattrall will complete the London run in May due to other commitments.  However, both will head to Broadway for the New Year.

"'It will definitely go,' said Danny Moar of Theatre Royal Bath Productions, who are producing Private Lives with Duncan C. Weldon and Paul Elliott and Sonia Friedman Productions. "

also, "Moar said it was his intention for Simon Paisley Day and Lisa Dillon, who play Victor and Sybil, who both get ditched on their honeymoons with Amanda and Elyot, to also go to Broadway"

Keeley Hawes talks about marriage to Matthew and showbiz

Keeley Hawes has a lovely interview in the London Evening Standard in which she talks about Ashes to Ashes, but also reveals some interesting tidbits about her hubby, Matthew Macfadyen and their home life.

"She married Macfadyen at Richmond-upon-Thames register office in November 2004 when she was seven months pregnant, and today they all live in Twickenham with a flock of chickens."

and

"Macfadyen is starring in the sexually charged Private Lives opposite Kim Cattrall, and while lesser women might be jealous, Hawes says she and her husband are a good balance temperamentally: “He's very calm. I'm the fiery one.” Though it's not easy being married to an actor, she jokes. “I've had him come home with prematurely white hair, and then he had a tonsure shaved into his hair for six months last year. I tried to work with that, but it lost its novelty.” Meanwhile Hawes wore basques and leather for Ashes. “He gets a better deal!”

Her banter belies the fact that the demands of two parents in showbusiness is enormously stressful. “It's really hard when you're both filming. You have to work much harder at your relationships than you ever do at work. Poor Matthew is crossing over jobs soon. He's in Private Lives at night and shooting the new TV series, Any Human Heart, during the day — they're even shooting on Sundays."
