24 Hours on Earth: BBC commissions only 12 hours

Matthew Macfadyen narrates the documentary 24 Hours On Earth, which is a 2 part series looking at the different effects of light on animals during a 24 hour day. The US was apparently lucky to see both parts of the series, which was shown on BBC America in March.

BBC in the UK has only shown the first part of the documentary and there has been no mention of when the second half of the series will be shown.  A forum member wrote to the BBC and the reply came back that the BBC only commissioned one programme only!

24 Hours on Earth should be retitled 12 Hours in the UK.

Edit: someone was able to compare the 2 hour version shown in the US with the 1 hour version shown in the UK.  It appears the UK is an edited version combining parts 1 and 2.

Harold Luxury for Men Interview Spring 2014

Matthew Macfadyen did an interview for Harold Luxury for Men Spring 2014 issue which is absolutely fabulous!  In the interview, Matthew mentions that he's moving house, vacationing in Thailand with his family for two weeks, his favourite hotel and much, much more!

Spooks: Zoe won't be back but Tom might

Empire Online has posted 10 things about the Spooks movie.  Zoe won't be back but Tom Quinn (Matthew Macfadyen) might!

Hearthrob super-spook Tom Quinn, a man with a ruinous love life and, come to think of it, career, is still a firm favourite in these parts. Matthew Macfadyen's character, the possible result of accidental gene splice of Ethan Hunt and Droopy Dog, returned at the end of season ten as a private sector operative harbouring some long-dormant loyalties to his former MI5 colleagues. Surely he'll back again for the movie? "Look, we brought Tom back in the very last episode of the last series," Nalluri straight-bats. "Make of that what you will!" Yes, then.
