Jury comments on Matthew Macfadyen's Performance as Best Actor

The RTS has posted comments about Matthew Macfadyens's brilliant performance in Secret Life.

The jury was struck not only by the bravery but also by the complexity of this performance which left them torn between sympathy and loathing. … an utterly compelling performance.

Royal Television Society Awards : Matthew wins!!

Congratulations to Matthew, as the Daily Mail has just reported that he won the Best Actor award at this evening's Royal Television Society's Awards.

Matthew Macfadyen won the Best Actor gong for what judges described as a "compelling performance" in Secret Life.

Matthew Macfadyen Nominated for BAFTA 2008

The British Academy Television Awards (BAFTA) have announced the nominations for 2008. Matthew Macfadyen has been nominated for Best Actor for Secret Life, where he plays Charlie, a pedophile trying to reform. The BAFTA's will be held on Sunday, 20 April, 2008 at the London Palladium. Matthew Macfadyen won the RTS Award for best Male Actor for Secret Life in March.
