Ripper Street: Ready in time for a Spooky Halloween

Ripper Street returns to UK screens tomorrow, just in time for Halloween spookyness.  Sara Wallis of the Mirror visited the set of Ripper Street in Dublin.  Here's a few things Matthew Macfadyen told Sara:

Detective Inspector Reid (Matthew Macfadyen) fears a new hell is to be unleashed.

“I like Reid,” says Matthew, 39. “He’s very forward-thinking and interested in people, although he’s much more lonely in this series.

“But he does meet a woman this time. She’s a very smart, fiery county councillor and they instantly hit it off. But it’s early days as he’s still married, with his wife in an asylum.

“The show just gets better and better as the writers are having fun and taking risks. It’s a thriller with great storylines.”
