Synopsis from Sydney Kimmel Productions press release:
Death At A Funeral revolves around the funeral of the father of estranged brothers Daniel (Matthew MacFadyen) and Robert (Rupert Graves). From the outset the funeral doesn’t go quite as smoothly as the brothers would hope, and what begins as an appropriately sombre affair descends into chaos and farce with hilarious results. Death At A Funeral is a fast-paced, irreverent comedy with a heart, that sees the two brothers confront their own fears, failings and deal with the consequences of the arrival of a mysterious stranger.
Boasting a cast line-up that’s a veritable “who’s who” of hot acting talent, Death At A Funeral looks set to continue the recent resurgence of British cinema. Heading the cast as the uptight and serious Daniel is rising star Matthew Macfadyen (Enigma, Maybe Baby) who recently portrayed Mr Darcy in the hit film Pride and Predjudice, while Rupert Graves (Rag Tale, V For Vendetta ) will play his carefree and infuriatingly irresponsible younger brother Robert.
Matthew Macfadyen Role:
Matthew plays the part of Daniel, son of the deceased patriarch
