Pillars of the Earth: There's now an App for that!

The Ipad app is now available on the itunes store.  Even though the USA article says it is available for the Ipad, iphone, and ipod touch, a search of the itunes store only shows the version for the ipad (at least currently).  The app is currently being sold for $12.99

"And in a novel twist, embedded videos are digitally time-coded or locked so that you can't watch them until that particular episode airs. This edition includes an array of extras as elaborate as any on a director's cut DVD."

Oprah.com has a few pithy comments about some of the major characters in The Pillars of the Earth.  Here's what she has to say about Prior Philip:

Prior Philip (Matthew Macfadyen)

Noble monk who prays in a silky baritone. Despite living in filthy, pestilent 12th-century England, has glowing skin and perfect piano-key teeth—a sure sign of divine grace.

Matthew Loved Ashes to Ashes

The Daily Express has an article in which Keeley Hawes reveals that Matthew cried at the ending of Ashes to Ashes.

Also, "She said he raved about her sexy Eighties outfits, especially her red boots. Keeley... said: “He loved those boots.”"
