Help those affected by the London/UK riots

Given that the riots have had such an impact on London and has even spread out to other UK cities, and as people have been made homeless or businesses have been lost, and as there no known funds to help in the cleanup, people have stepped up to help those who have been affected.  Clean up operations have begun.

As Darcylicians have proven in the past, we care about those around us, even if we live across the globe.

No Red Carpet for the German Premiere of The Three Musketeers

Because of the actors' other commitments, there will not be a Red Carpet event for the German (World Premiere) of Three Musketeers 3D. Orlando Bloom and Luke Evans are filming The Hobbit in New Zealand.  Matthew Macfadyen will be starring in Anna Karenina which begins filming in September.  Paul WAS Anderson and Milla Jovovich are working on a new Resident Evil series.

You can read the original article in German or the google translation.  Also a big thankyou to Doris.

Hopefully, there will be a red carpet premiere in October, as the film opens in more countries.

Also, marina has found several early reviews of the film (all in German, though).  This reviewer didn't like the film, calling it a pallid ensemble (translation via google). "The story is told in ancient costumes and also a modern twist, but that does not do the work well".

And: "The Musketeers (Matthew MacFadyen, Ray Stevenson, Luke Evans) with their fight scenes are so busy that the role of design is not much left over."

However, Cinestar had the following to say (also via google translate: "densely packed with action, witty screenplay ideas, and visually stunning camera settings"

Three Musketeers (Die Drei Musketiere's) opens in Germany on September 1 and worldwide sometime in October.
