The Promised Land hits funding snag

Jim Sturgess, in an article in The Guardian, confirmed that The Promised Land had hit funding problems

He  was meant to be working with Michael Winterbottom next, on a film set in the run-up to the partition of Palestine in 1948. But – and no surprise here – it has hit funding problems. Now, his people must have been telling him to steer clear of this one? "I was hugely advised to not go down that road."
