Here is a portion of a message forum member, paulitadarcy posted in the forum:

"I'm sad for Chile, my country because there was an earthquake, one of the biggest of the history. There is a group of fans of Matthew in Chile, but they don't speak English, some of them live in areas most affected."

"Famous people are sending messages of love and hope to our people, specially on Twitter. I don't know if Matthew has sent a greeting, I would love if he did... he's lovely and solidary."

"I hope you can understand my English..."

This message moved us enough to encourage another forum member, Smitten, to approach Matthew to sign an autograph for those Matthew fans affected by the earthquake.  Thank you Matthew and Smitten.  I hope this simple message will provide some comfort and hope.
